The Perfect Comfort Dinner
So, during the colder months we absolutely love comfort foods, and this Potato Pie Recipe doesn’t disappoint!
Honestly, this is a dinner I could eat anytime of the year, and it is something my family loves almost as much. This potato pie is very easy to make and doesn’t require a ton of ingredients. Take a look at this awesome dish… and below find the printable recipe.
- Ground Beef
- Veggies (mixed and an onion)
- About 3 potatoes (approx 2 cups of mashed potatoes)
- A 1
- Cheese (optional)
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Brown the meat and onion. While that cooks, make your mashed potatoes. When the meat and onion is cooked drain the mixture and add some A 1. Allow that to boil. Spoon the meat and onion mixture into a baking dish, pour on a bag of mixed veggies, top with mashed potatoes, and add optional cheese, if desired. Bake for 15-18 minutes and enjoy!
Good luck with that, but if you manage it… this is even better the next day!
Bet + Fam 🙂
- 1 Pound Ground Beef
- 1 Onion
- 1 10-12 oz Frozen Mixed Veggies
- 1/3-1/2 cup A1 amount depends on how much you like A1
- 2 cups Mashed Potatoes about 3 potatoes, made your normal way.
- 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese optional
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Make mashed potatoes.
Chop onion and in a skillet brown the onion with the ground beef.
When beef is browned drain the mixture and add the A 1 and allow to boil for 1-2 minutes.
In a baking dish about 1 1/2 quart sized, spoon in the beef/onion mixture, add the bag of frozen veggies as a second layer (dish will cook faster if they are defrosted), and top with mashed potatoes as a third layer.
Lastly, if you would like to add the cheese, layer it on the top of the mashed potatoes. If desired you could even sprinkle a little bit more A1 on the very top.
Place in the oven for 15-18 minutes, depending on your oven.
