St. Patty’s Day Printable Bingo Fun
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and like most holidays, I try to find small ways to have some fun… without going overboard… that is. So, as a fun activity, I made a St. Patrick’s Day Bingo game to take to co-op for the kids play over the lunch period, of course I tried it out with my kiddos first! The kids had so much fun with it that I decided to share it.
First, let me say that when one just decides to create a St. Patrick’s Day Bingo game… it isn’t as easy as it sounds, but I got a game together of 20 cards and I think it’s pretty cute!
Printing The Cards
Head here and print my cards... the cards are easy to print and once printed you can cut them out of the page along the border, omitting the Bingo title, and then laminate them (making them smaller) or just laminate the letter size card as is, which is probably easier. You don’t have to laminate the bingo cards, but they will last longer that way.
There aren’t any place holders with these cards because I didn’t want to cut out 100 of them and I knew nobody else would want to either… so we just used marshmallows… but you could use beans or Lucky Charms as place holders.
Playing the Game
To play, just shuffle the cards, flip one over, and call out the card (make sure to say things like baby leprechaun vs happy leprechaun or hurt leprechaun… or 3 leaf clover vs 4 leaf clover. The first player to get 5 spaces covered and calls Bingo… is the winner! Of course you could try to play other games of Bingo, like 4 corners… we didn’t but I am sure it would work fine!
To make the game fun, you could have your kids call out LUCKY instead of BINGO when they win! We only needed 20 cards, but if you need more than 20 cards, just print more. I’ve been to several “for serious” Bingo games (seriously, a friend of mine used to spend her weekends going to bingo halls)… it’s normal for there to be multiple winners, and sometimes the game winner is just the first one to call out Bingo.
We Have A Winner
Here is my little winner… Landen won our first game at home… then he ate all the marshmallows!
If you head over to Etsy and grab this St. Patrick’s Day Bingo game, included in the download is a FREE Sorting activity.
Lucky Charms Sorting Activity
The sorting activity is a fun activity to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day morning or anytime of the year… and is perfect for those needing help with motor skills. To be honest… I had fun with it! Just like above… to ensure it lasts make sure to laminate the card and then sort away!
