My Love of Usborne Books

Usborne Books & More

Well, if you have looked at any of my posts you will see that my children love books, they even do reviews that can be seen at 3AmigosBookBlog.com! We love all books and this review doesn’t suggest that we don’t also buy books from Amazon or at the bookstore, but we really do love Usborne Books and I wanted to share why, as I suggest many of their books in my posts.

So, what are Usborne Books… well Usborne Books & More is a direct marketing company, allowing their consultants to promote literacy, while selling awesome children’s books that range from newborn to youth. They also have fundraising opportunities for schools and other groups that are bar none the best!

Here is a little bit from their website…

“Usborne and Kane Miller books are the most exciting, engaging, and educational books on the market today. They are high-quality, innovative, lavishly-illustrated, and best of all, they are the books kids love to read. Choose from over 1,800 bright, colorful, and fun titles covering a wide variety of subjects.”

We have used many of these books for both recreational reading, in our homeschooling, and I always recommend them. My very good friend Markley Hidde is a consultant with this company and not only used the books for her now grown boys, she loves promoting literacy.

Here is why Markley loves Usborne in her own words…

“I have been a consultant for Usborne Books & More (UBAM) for more than 15 years. I have fond memories of reading as a child. With a background in pediatric nursing I have a natural desire to help children in any way I can. With a mission to reverse our nation’s declining literacy rate, UBAM offers something for everyone and has been a perfect fit for me. It is my privilege to help families raise readers by introducing parents and their children to books that will not only meet their individual needs but will also be books they will love to read. I love what I do – and you can do it too!”

Some of our favorite Usborne books have been the lift and flap books, the sticker books (which are awesome, my 13 year old step-daughter even loves these), and the non-fiction animal and reference books, though they have some wonderful fiction books as well, however, we love the non-fiction because of how many of them are internet linked and referenced. This allows the parent and child to go to a site managed by Usborne that provides web links to learn more about the topic at hand, this is an awesome tool for homeschoolers especially!

Here is a small selection of some of our favorites…

So, I highly recommend Usborne books and when you see them here and there on this blog, you now know why I love them, and if you are curious to learn more or to purchase visit FrontDoorBookStore.com.

Happy reading!

Bet + Fam 🙂

*I am not directly being compensated for this review, Markley is a consultant with Usborne and a friend, but my family does love these books and are happy to share why!
